The Life of a Tech Recruiter in Silicon Valley

My art. My Passion. My obsession.
Sourcing Party!

The last several weeks have been pretty intense on the recruiting front. We set an aggressive hiring goal to reach by the end of the month. Often times as a recruiter you need to think outside the box in order to find exceptional talent, but other times you just need to buckle down and grind it out. In this particular case it’s the latter, but just because you have to grind doesn’t mean you can’t have fun while you’re doing it. Our solution? Sourcing party.

Sourcing parties aren’t for the faint of heart. Here’s how it works; you lock yourself in a room with your colleagues and reach out to as many qualified candidates as you can until you’ve exhausted all your resources, all while sipping on adult beverages and listening to a variety of music. It requires a different degree of intestinal fortitude, however there are ways to make these parties a bit more refined and classy. Enter Lagavulin and Frank Sinatra. Lagavulin is the perfect fuel to any late night flame, particularly when you need that fire burning through the wee hours of the night. It has the perfect balance of complexity, offering a smokey yet sweet flavor, and a peaty aftertaste that lingers just enough to make you want more. Frank Sinatra, well, need I say more?

A sophisticated scotch, classic music from the 40’s & ’50s, and passionate colleagues makes for an affective sourcing party to meet your hiring goals. It’s a win win win situation. :)
